You lose your arm in a horrible accident. So you decide to make a time device to save yourself from losing your arm. You travel back in time to stop the tragedy. Now, your past self will have no need to make a time device to save his past self therefore the time device is never made and he never saves himself from losing his arm. Therefore the accident still happens. Then that past self makes a time device and the same paradox happens.
The moral of the story is, you can't change the past.

Correction..... You loose your arm in a horrible accident. You make a time device and travel into the past. You prevent yourself from loosing your arm. Those you regrow your arm. Then there is no need to make a time machine and as a result no time machine was made and no one ever knew that a time machine was made. So the secret is safe And everyone is clueless -DanHugz
