I decided a thred about the bands thatt are so not metal, that they should be named. I'm talking the worst of the worst bands here. Who classify themselves as metal/rock/hardrock and should be slapped for doing so..... Have fun ;) :

I understand they dont call themselves metal thats why i said in the previous post rock/metal/hardrock. Angels and Airwaves is a rock band. And in my opionion not a very good one. But remember these forums are all a matter of opoinion and nothing else.

AVA classifies themselves as an alternative/progressive rock. and rock is such a common word now. it could be used to descirbe anything. Tom put his heart into that record. its not just "rock" it's what he believes in. look deeper then the riff hughs.
